Camilla Cooper

Neurology specialist

BVSc, ECVN, MRCVS

Camilla graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2008 and worked initially in mixed practice near Stoke on Trent and then in small animal practice in Manchester. She returned to the University of Liverpool in 2011 to undertake a Small Animal Rotating Internship, followed by a residency in Veterinary Neurology.

Camilla became a senior lecturer in Veterinary Neurology at the University of Liverpool, obtaining her European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology in 2018 and is a European and RCVS specialist in Veterinary Neurology.

In 2022, a move to the United States saw her take up the post of Associate Professor in Veterinary Neurology at Colorado State University. Having grown tired of the 300 days a year of sunshine that Colorado boasted, she returned to the UK in Spring 2024 and joined the team here at Northwest Veterinary Specialists.

Throughout her years at the University of Liverpool and Colorado State University, Camilla has helped to train many veterinary students and the odd Neurology diplomat! She is currently part of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) Examination Committee.

Camilla’s main interest is clinical neurology, however, she has also co-authored several papers and loves to help general practitioners foster their love of Neurology
